After 15 years making marketing magic for social impact startups and organizations like Planned Parenthood and Teach For America, I launched a boutique brand storytelling agency called Dear Anne Media (in honor of my childhood she-ro Anne Frank, who taught me that anyone – even a 16 year-old girl – can change the world with their story).
Brand storytelling wasn’t yet a thing, so I needed to promote myself for the first time, to land dream clients. While it was easy (and exciting) to promote people I believe in, I was terrified to put myself out there. I spent I uncovered my authentic brand story, I could speak powerfully about what I do to anyone.
